김광재 교수님께서는 홍콩과기대 방문연구원으로 재직하시는 중, 7월 29일에는 Hong Kong Society of Quality와 Hong Kong Polytechnic University Industrial and Systems Engineering 학과에서 주관하는 초청세미나에 강연하셨습니다.

세미나 제목은 "Recent Advances in Quality Function Deployment" 입니다.

Quality function deployment (QFD) is a useful tool for identifying a project topic, called a critical-to-quality, in the early stage of a six-sigma project. In this talk, we first review the limitations of the existing QFD framework, and then present some recent extensions from the methodological perspective to enhance its usefulness in practice. In particular, the validation of the information contained in a house of quality chart and the effective use of the collected information will be discussed with examples from Korean industries.
